Wayne Hankins, on Oxford Street
Mountain Ash Studio is run by Wayne Hankins from a sage-green shopfront on Oxford Street, its blue-and-gold sign carrying a little rowan sprig either side of the name — a nod to the mountain ash (rowan) tree the town itself is named for.
The window is dressed with framed portraits of past sittings, and — in the photo above — bunting, a full-size Y Ddraig Goch and daffodils for a Welsh occasion. The door also carries membership badges from a UK professional photography association.
